Paris Hilton talks new beauty products
PeopleStyleWatch.com: She’s already created a fashion empire of handbags, fragrances and hair extensions, and now Paris Hilton has a new addition to her style stable, with two more beauty products: The Celebrity Styler flat iron and Ultimate Brush.
“There are a lot of products out there that don’t work, they’re a rip-off,” the star told People Magazine at a launch event for the products at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills. “I wanted to make something that was affordable, that works. It’s fast, it’s easy and you don’t need a hair stylist.”
Paris’s mom Kathy weighed on on why her daughter had the perfect skill-set to be a hair care success: “She’s a hair fanatic,” Kathy explained to People. “That’s why with the Simple Life she decided to do those hair extensions, because she went crazy thinking ‘I’m going to be without a blow-dryer for four weeks!’” Sister Nicky concurred, saying, “She’s always loved experimenting with different makeup and hairstyles, so I think this product is a lot of fun for her.”
Paris, however, admitted to People an unexpectedly unglamorous side to herself. “I still am a tomboy. I love to go fishing. I love sports. I used to play ice hockey. Paris Hilton faces legal action over German party snub
Paris Hilton is at the center of a legal spat in Germany after reportedly pulling out of a series of events she was scheduled to attend on Friday and Saturday.
Promoters booked the socialite to appear at a number of industry events in Frankfurt, but mysterious circumstances led to Hilton refusing to leave her hotel room in the city. She then reportedly flew to Italy early on Saturday to judge a beauty pageant, snubbing one party she was supposed to attend with Frederic Prinz von Anhalt’s adopted son Marcus.
Sources tell German newspaper Bild that Hilton pulled out of her scheduled appearances due to an argument with her boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, suggesting the hotel heiress was instructed not to attend the Saturday night event because it was being held in an erotic table dancing club.
Michael Marx, the organizer of one party at top club Mediastar, tells the publication, “Paris Hilton has dishonored all appointments and contracts — the dinner with 18 high-ranking guests, the appearance at the bar, the autograph session at Mediastar. We are incredibly disappointed.”
Mediastar bosses are seeking legal action against Hilton and her handlers.
A spokeswoman for the socialite had not replied to WENN’s request for a comment by press time.

Not only does Paris Hilton share a name with Michael Jackson’s daughter, the hotel heiress says the King of Pop asked her mom’s permission to use it.
“My mom and Michael went to high school together and they were best friends since they were 13 […] So I grew up knowing Michael Jackson very well and when he had his daughter, he always loved the name Paris and grew up being an uncle to me […] So he asked my mom if it was okay and of course she said yes and I think she’s such a beautiful little girl and I’m proud we have the same name.” — Paris told in an interview to Extra TV.

Paris Hilton defends herself at Miami Superior Court for lawsuit stating she didn’t do enough to promote ‘Pledge This!’ in 2006
BizJournals.com: Paris Hilton is in Miami federal court today to defend herself against an $8.5 million lawsuit that alleges she failed to promote the 2006 film she starred in, “National Lampoon’s Pledge This!”
Local attorney Michael Goldberg filed suit against Hilton and her entertainment company last year, as part of his duties in the receivership of the defunct Worldwide Entertainment Group, a former Miami Beach concert promoter accused in 2006 of bilking investors out of $300 million.
Hilton’s million-dollar contract for the movie included obligations to promote it. Her attorneys have stated in responses to the lawsuit that she did promote it, that her image was used on promotion materials and that she appeared at the movie’s debut near Chicago. They’ve said that she was not available for further promotions as requested by promoters after the film’s brief release and transition to DVD.
Hilton played a sorority president seeking to boost her image at the fictitious South Beach University.
“Hilton failed to attend any talk shows or telephonic or in-person interviews,” Goldberg alleged in the suit.
Hilton’s attorneys attempted to have the suit thrown out. The trial is expected to continue into next week.
Also on the witness list: the film’s producer Chester English; Hollywood producer Andrew Fogelson as an expert; and Hilton’s former manager Jason Moore, by deposition.
“Obligations are a red carpet appearance, no press, no after-party, and you don’t have to stay for the film. Then the film goes away,” Moore said in a Sept. 28, 2006, e-mail to Hilton regarding the premiere, according to the most recent court filing in the case.
Hilton is represented by the law firm Liner Grode Stein Yankelevitz Sunshine Regenstreif and Taylor of Los Angeles.
Goldberg is pursuing the global assets of former Worldwide Entertainment mogul Jack Utsick of Miami Beach. This comes two years after the Securities and Exchange Commission accused Utsick of securities fraud.
Worldwide Entertainment and its affiliates still have ownership interest in stadiums and concert venues.

The musician was found after a cardiac attack at his home in Los Angeles. Paramedics were unable to revive him, He died at age of 50.

Michael and his kids were just at my house a few months ago, I can’t believe I will never see him again. He was such a kind and gentle soul.

FOXNews: Champagne-swilling Cristiano Ronaldo and Paris Hilton got down and dirty as they teamed up to celebrate the soccer ace’s $131 million transfer.
The winking winger, 24, kissed and cuddled the 28-year-old socialite in a Hollywood club before they headed to her sister’s home.
A clubber who witnessed their frolicking said: “They were sucking each other’s faces off like their plane was going down[…]At one point Ronaldo had a bottle between his legs and Paris was stroking it. It was very racy.”
After sharing steamy cuddles and expensive champagne for two hours, Paris headed to sister Nicky’s home in the Hollywood Hills at 2.05 a.m.
Ronaldo, 24, joined her there an hour later after a brief stopover at his hotel. He left at 5 a.m. with a broad grin plastered across his face.
